RETURN! Brain Injury Community Re-Entry Program

RETURN! Brain Injury Community to Re-Entry ProgramRETURN! is a day treatment program that serves individuals aged 18 years or older who have sustained a brain injury through stroke, aneurysm, traumatic injury or other neurological condition. The goal of the program is to help people return-to-work, school or responsibilities at home. It offers a structured and consistent weekly schedule of group and individual therapies developed to improve memory, organization, comprehension and other thinking skills affected by brain injury.

RETURN! is led by experienced clinicians who create a unique approach to brain injury rehabilitation. Individuals in the program are encouraged to practice lost skills and learn strategies to overcome injury-related limitations. To increase independence in the community, they are asked to remember, understand, plan, organize, speak and socially interact with each other in the group setting.

A physical medicine and rehabilitation physician provides oversight of each client’s rehabilitation needs. Individual speech and language, physical, occupational, and psychological therapies are arranged based on specific client needs. As appropriate, a pre-vocational specialist addresses return-to work needs. These services are scheduled as part of the RETURN! Brain Injury Community Re-entry Program.

After Discharge

A detailed, personalized discharge plan is developed with each client created with input from the family and treatment team.
