RETURN! to Work Vocational Reentry Program
The RETURN! to Work Vocational Reentry Program at Sinai Rehabilitation Center provides the most comprehensive vocational services in the state of Maryland to individuals who have sustained a brain injury. It is designed to successfully rehabilitate, competitively place and provide on-going support to those seeking to re-enter the workforce.
Our program meets the complex needs of mildly, moderately or severely injured persons. Individuals can be referred to our program through Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS), Long-Term Disability, and Workers’ Compensation. Our Vocational Specialists are certified rehab providers through the Workers’ Compensation Commission as well as Certified Brain Injury Specialists, approved by the Brain Injury Association of America.
At RETURN! to Work, one size does not fit all. Recovery from brain injury may be incomplete and the need for vocational assistance may be variable. A successful return-to-work plan is person centered, time sensitive and focused on removing barriers to employment. We provide neurological rehabilitation, case coordination and comprehensive vocational services for individuals seeking work in the community. A thorough evaluation of a worker’s physical, cognitive and communication ability is critical in this effort. Our Vocational Case Coordinators (VCC) provide continuous oversight during all phases of treatment—a model unparalleled in brain injury rehabilitation.
